5K for Julie
On Saturday September 17th, Elite Collision Center participated in a Run/Walk/Bike event to benefit one of our employees in need. This event was held in Maricopa Az and was organized by Carrie Hinton. She worked many hours putting this event together and it was a great success. Below you can read a short snipit of information that was posted on a flyer explaining the event and cause............
Julie Steinmetz is a 28 year old local Maricopa single mom who was born with severe issues with her eyes. As her sight has continued to worsen she has had 4 surgeries in the past 4 years including cataract surgery in both eyes along with surgeries to correct many issues including reattaching her retinas. These surgeries have been paid for out of pocket as she doesn’t have vision insurance. She is currently waiting to be approved for Access to have another surgery but even if she is approved she will still need to come out of pocket another $2800.00. At this time she is unable to drive, work or take care of her 8 year old son due to her vision loss. Even through all this emotional, physical and financial pain she has been through she still has a great attitude. She could really use a little help so join me in helping her out in her time of need!
...Our thoughts go out to Julie in her time of need and we are looking forward to her return here at Elite Collision Center.
